Excellent care, cleanliness, communication by all staff and a brilliant surgeon who operated my knee.
The hospital was great just a shame about surgeon
I couldn't fault it with helpful & friendly staff .
I found the Nuffield hospital to be first class in all aspects of my care, from my pre -op meeting, through to my days in hospital, and to my Physio, and outpatient care, and at reception desk. 100%
Thank you
Staff always kind and helpful
I was more than happy with every aspect of my care at the Nuffield Hospital, Hampshire. All members of staff that I dealt with were very pleasant and professional. I would be happy to go there again if I need further treatment.
After suffering for years of chest pain and acid reflux i was diagnosed with a Hiatus hernia all the test and diagnosis was carried out by the NHS local hospitals well actually two different NHS hospitals
I decided that due to medication was not helping and it was impacting my health and day to day life i would look into private surgery of having my Hiatus hernia repaired.
I had no health insurance so with help from family and my own resources raised over enough capital to fund this from test to hopefully procedure and more.
I contacted Nuffield health hospital Hampshire and a appointment was made I was feeling really positive and hopeful
So my first appointment the Consultant totally disagreed with my condition even after he read my referral letter from my GP stating my test results and prognosis and explained that it would cost to much and i would be better off going back to the NHS as if i couldn't afford the test or any treatment
He suggested maybe i had another condition but never said what
I explained i have had every test possible even a PET test for cancer a Lung function test and a heart test my liver/ kidneys completely fine and nothing was found the only things that have been reported where a Hiatus hernia and acid reflux but the Consultant did not believe or lets say he did not what to believe my condition or my diagnoses from two different NHS hospitals and was not prepared to even retake the test
So i cannot see how he made a diagnosis by seeing me in 20 mins and what was the diagnosis ??
So my thoughts ABSOLUTELY ridiculous and very disappointing when the whole point of making that appointment was for diagnoses and treatment and not pushed away like a second class person
It was stress free and engendered a very friendly atmosphere
Parking was difficult, food excellent surgery was was well managed and excellent except for infection in early days
I came into the hospital 10 years ago as a paying customer and was treated really well.I have just recently had a operation with the hospital but as a NHS patients. My operation went well but the after care was terrible. I didn't feel well enough to go home that night but was told you are going home. I didn't leave the hospital that night till 10pm because I had to keep drinking water to make me go to toilet before I went. When I was taken to the car by the nurse in told her I felt sick and dizzy I asked her for a sick bowl she abruptly said toearlier there isn't any down here took me to the door and sat me in the freezing cold till my husband bought the car round. She couldn't even put the foot bits down for me on the wheelchair I got out into the car upset and crying. If I had paid for my surgery maybe I would of been treated better. I would not go to this hospital again they made me feel like a second class citizen .Some of the nurses were nice.
